Welcome to my portfolio. I’m a UX/UI designer who makes clean, impactful, and user-centred applications and websites.

With a background in journalism, I love getting to the heart of the problem with research, and then using my storytelling skills to communicate and design the right solution.

What my clients say

Luke transformed WellBoring’s website, enabling the charity to rapidly expand and partner with world-class organisations and get safe water to hundreds of Kenyan schools.

A pleasure to work with, Luke’s clear solution-focus meant every obstacle was overcome.

Nigel Linacre, Chair, WellBoring

Luke, along with the rest of the product design team, has been able to represent very well what we conveyed to him.

In two weeks he has achieved incredible results in UX and UI, making data-driven decisions on how best to design each property of the product.

Alejandro Frias, CTO, Invertor

I worked with Luke when he had just graduated from IronHack (UX/UI Design track).

Impressed with Luke's ability to quickly learn and independently run with Figma designs. In short, a great experience overall!

Jan Klinkhamer, Founder, Equip

A bit more about me

Before web and UX design, I was a technology journalist, working with some of Europe’s biggest news organisations.

Interviewing the founders of innovative companies at the forefront of solving today’s biggest problems was a great privilege, giving me an insight into the power of technology to make a positive impact on the world.

During this time I developed expert storytelling skills, and also discovery skills - asking the right questions to get to the heart of a story or a problem. I now use that toolkit  to communicate the right message for my clients, through design, and words.

Away from work, I love to push myself out of my comfort zone, whether that be, climbing up cliff-faces, moving to a new country, or learning a new language.
